A steamer wasn't on my shopping list, but this one came free when I purchased a Dirt Devil hand vac. With the words "Platinum Force" emblazoned on the red finish, the small hand steamer promised lots of oomph, and maybe something more.
Those furniture dents a tenant left in the thick Berber
carpet? A spurt of steam from this little devil and the carpet piles
perked right up. Another spurt and ground-in dirt lifted from the
stairs. And the rumpled curtains? Pssssss...! Wrinkles gone.
Hot air is magical. It powers speeding trains and soaring balloons. With luck, maybe this household appliance could steam away my noisy neighbors or, at the very least, remove the beer cans they littered on my lawn.
